About Us

Pastor Fred Schwenger     (609)709-2079(cell)

We Believe:

1. In the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God, inerrant in the original writings, and of supreme and final authority in all matters of life and faith.(II Tim. 3:16,17; II Peter 1:20,21)

2. In one God eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.(Duet. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; II Cor. 13:14)

3. That man was created in the image and likeness of God, in innocence and without sin, but that in Adam's sin the race fell, inherited a sin nature, became spiritually dead and alienated from God. Therefore, man is totally depraved, condemned to eternal damnation and unable to remedy his fallen condition.(Gen. 1:26, 27; Rom. 5:12,19; Eph. 2:1-3,12)

4. That God the Son became flesh in the person of Jesus Christ, who was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is God and man.(Luke 1:35; John 1:1,2,14)

5. That Jesus died as a substitutionary sacrifice as the propitiation for sin; and that all who believe in Him are justified by grace through faith, apart from works of any kind.(Rom. 3:22-25,28; Eph. 1:7; 2:8,9; I Pet. 1:3-5; 2:24; I John 2:2)

6. In the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest, Intercessor, and Advocate. (I Cor. 15:1-8; Acts 1:9-11; Rom. 8:34; Heb. 4:14; I John 2:1)

7. That at death the souls of those who have trusted Christ for salvation pass immediately into His presence and remain there in a conscious bliss until the resurrection of the body at Christ's coming for the Church, when soul and body will be united. We then shall be with Him forever in glory.  We also believe that at death the souls of unbelievers remain in conscious misery until the final judgement of the Great White Throne at the close of the millennium when the soul and body will be united and cast into the lake of fire- not to be annihilated, but to be seperated from God forever in conscious punishment.(Lk. 16:19-26; II Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:21-23; John 5:28-29; II Thes. 1:7-9; Matt. 25:46; Rev. 20:11-15)

8. That, Satan, a fallen angel, is a person and author of sin and the instigator of the angelic and the subsequent human rebellion against God.  He is the declared enemy of God and man and he will be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire.(Gen. 3:14,15; Job 1:6,7; Isa. 14:12-17; Matt. 4:2-11; 25:41; Rev. 20:10)

9. That Christ ordained water baptism and the observance of the Lord's Supper until He returns. (Matt. 28:19; I Cor. 11:20-34)

10. That it is the obligation of every believer to witness by life and by work and to seek to proclaim the Gospel to all the world; and it is the responsibility of all believers to remember the work of the Lord in prayer and to support it with their means as the Lord has prospered them; and that every believer has a spiritual gift(s) which should be used to edify the Body of Christ.(Acts 1:8; Rom. 12:1,2; 13:14; I Cor. 12:14; 16:2; II Cor. 8:11; 8:14; 9:7; Eph. 4:11-16)
